Local officials and service providers will urge residents to prepare for severe winter weather this weekend as temperatures drop; the National Weather Service forecasts moderate to heavy icing that may affect trees, power lines and roads and advises readying emergency kits, charging devices and filling gas tanks.

Grand Opening - Gene H. Fuhrman Memorial Telecommunications Education Center

UNT will honor the memory of Gene Fuhrman, NTSU 1986, with a short ceremony to open an exhibit in his honor. The exhibit commemorates the work of Gene and his parents in developing Muenster Telephone Co. into one of the finest rural telecommunications companies in the the USA, and show cases the evolution of telecommunications technology.
