- ➤ Ponder High School senior football player Caden Nowicki sustained critical injuries in a sledding accident Monday afternoon on Amyx Hill Road when his kayak detached from an ATV, and he remains in intensive care at Medical City Denton while the school accepts food gift card donations for his family. Grand Opening - Gene H. Fuhrman Memorial Telecommunications Education Center
UNT will honor the memory of Gene Fuhrman, NTSU 1986, with a short ceremony to open an exhibit in his honor. The exhibit commemorates the work of Gene and his parents in developing Muenster Telephone Co. into one of the finest rural telecommunications companies in the the USA, and show cases the evolution of telecommunications technology.
