- ➤ After campus reopened on Jan 29 following heavy snow, students reported that icy ramps and narrow paths made it hard to travel safely, with eight accidents recorded. Cleaning crews have been working on main entrances plus accessibility issues remain under review. North Texas Daily
- ➤ University officials interviewed Lhexa D’Avignon, a teaching fellow and math grad student, on Jan. 16 over an alleged violation of restroom rules (Policy 04.028) linked to a new state law, and the Office of Compliance said no further action is planned as student groups express concern. KERA

Grand Opening - Gene H. Fuhrman Memorial Telecommunications Education Center
UNT will honor the memory of Gene Fuhrman, NTSU 1986, with a short ceremony to open an exhibit in his honor. The exhibit commemorates the work of Gene and his parents in developing Muenster Telephone Co. into one of the finest rural telecommunications companies in the the USA, and show cases the evolution of telecommunications technology.
