- ➤ Lewisville approved the transfer of its former fire station (195 W. Corporate Drive) to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Tarrant County to serve Denton County youth. The 8,000 sqft facility will host after-school programs, with renovations starting in March and the club opening in August. Cross Timbers Gazette

- ➤ UNT President Harrison Keller detailed plans to address a $45M deficit by considering program cuts, higher teaching loads, and staffing freezes at a recent board meeting. A voluntary separation program for eligible faculty is planned (more details pending). KERA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Argyle officials are negotiating with Frisco-based Rise Commercial Investments to add a membership-based warehouse retailer to the planned Heath Tract development today (this project is designed to boost sales tax revenue while preserving open space).
