Denton firefighter Gary Weiland, who was gifted a prosthetic by 50 Legs after his leg amputation, donated part of his $5,000 award from Do Good Heroes on Wednesday to the nonprofit and will send the rest to Denton Fire Traditions.

Zachary Foster will run the Cowtown Marathon in Fort Worth this weekend to honor his late brother, Joseph Howell, who died of terminal esophageal cancer.

He trained with a donated running stroller (filled with rocks to mimic his brother's weight) as a tribute to their shared goal.
