- ➤ Residents in Krum have signed a petition with over 560 names opposing a planned tiny home village near their area, citing safety and property value concerns. The 1877 Journey nonprofit, which has an eight-figure budget, will host an April 5 bus tour to explain its supportive housing model + address zoning and infrastructure issues in upcoming public hearings. - ➤ H-E-B plans to open its first Denton store at the Hillwood Landmark development at the northwest corner of Interstate 35W and Robson Ranch Road, with construction set to begin this spring even though the purchase of a 20 acre site is not finalized. - ➤ Denton police arrested a Dallas man and woman, Taylor Lambert and Matthew Clark, on murder warrants after Amber Morris died from a fentanyl overdose at a residence on W. Hickory Street on Dec. 27, 2024—Lambert is held in Denton County Jail with a $250,000 bond while Clark awaits bond setting. City of Denton
- ➤ Cindy Clemishire said she felt relief after North Texas megachurch founder Robert Morris was indicted on five counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child with bond set at $50,000 — officials expect him to surrender early next week though details of his court appearance remain unclear.
