- ➤ Denton ISD students now receive bilingual homework help through the Juntxs Bilingual Homework Hotline, a program started during the COVID pandemic by UNT and TWU volunteers led by Mariela Nuñez-Janes. The hotline connects kindergarten through high school students with tutors online Monday through Thursday — educators say the effort boosts confidence and supports learning. KERA

- ➤ Top North Texas chefs competed in a cooking contest in Dallas yesterday for National Nutrition Month, creating fiber-rich dishes to fight cancer.
