- ➤ Denton police arrested a 31-year-old man on Tuesday — trash workers tipped them off and officers seized nearly 12 pounds of drugs from his home. Denton Record-Chronicle

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ House Bill 32 was introduced in February by Rep. Angie Chen Button to let landlords skip a hearing and speed up evictions — tenant advocates warn the change will limit renters' rights by forcing a three-day reply and allowing courts to be chosen far from tenants. - ➤ The Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to review a request to rezone 3.158 acres at the northwest corner of Teasley Lane — Hunter’s Creek Road from the Overlay Planned Development to the Public Facilities District. The commission’s recommendation will be sent to City Council for final action under the Denton 2040 Comprehensive Plan. City of Denton
