- ➤ A RAND study has found many Texans, including up to 40% in Denton, turn off wireless emergency alerts as the state issues Amber Alerts more widely, raising concerns that excessive alerts may cause people to ignore warnings about genuine emergencies. CBS Texas
- ➤ Town Council postponed a vote on the revised Lakeside hotel plan until May 4 due to community concerns over traffic, parking, and extended stays — developer Jimmy Archie agreed to remove the extended stay label and reduce building size to address local worries. Cross Timbers Gazette
