On May 3, Denton voters cast ballots on city charter amendments, city council seats, a possible municipal judge term extension & the Denton ISD Board of Trustees, with many saying their vote supports local education and community priorities.

The Denton City Council will vote Tuesday on a zoning change to allow apartment buildings on 195 undeveloped acres along Corbin Road & the proposal covers environmentally sensitive areas and wildlife habitat.

Governor Greg Abbott is pushing a constitutional amendment on bail reform — the measure would stop judges from releasing violent offenders on low bail and will be considered during the final month of the legislative session.
