- ➤ The Denton City Council voted 4-3 Tuesday night to repeal the low-level marijuana decriminalization ordinance that voters approved in November on Proposition B after city officials did not enforce it. Some council members said the action defends voter intent—others worry it may lead to costly legal battles and loss of state funds if challenges arise. KERA
- ➤ Denton Enterprise Airport received two statewide awards on May 21 — National/Regional Airport of the Year and Project of the Year — for rebuilding its main runway at a cost of $22 million.
