- ➤ The Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 11 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (215 E McKinney Street) to review a Mobility Plan amendment that changes road alignments for Underwood, Corbin, and Spring Side near the airport and I-35W; any citizen may attend to speak or observe. - ➤ Texas lawmakers agreed on a bill Thursday to add $8.5 billion to public schools, with about $4.2 billion allocated for teacher pay raises — the largest in state history. The Senate votes on the measure today and it will also provide funds for school safety, special education, and teacher preparation. CBS Texas
- ➤ The Denton Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing on June 11 at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall—215 E McKinney St—to review Vintage Denton Series LLC’s request to amend PD 139 for special sign standards on a 4.291-acre property at the southwest corner of Vintage Boulevard and I-35W.
