- ➤ Several North Texas cities including Denton are set for anti-ICE protests this weekend as organizers plan a march starting near Trinity Groves that will cross Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and end near local jails. Governor Greg Abbott will deploy 5,000 National Guard troops and 2,000 DPS troopers while officials urge protesters to rally outside the Crowley Courts building — warning that outside agitators are not welcome — and police focus on public safety.
