- ➤ The Public Art Committee recommended two new art installations for southeast Denton—one at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center and one at the American Legion Hall Senior Center—to celebrate local heritage through community-led murals and projects. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Supporters of the Texas Dream Act have filed a lawsuit against the state to restore in-state tuition for undocumented college students after a federal judge blocked the law in June—Oscar Silva said the act helped keep college affordable. The legal fight includes groups such as the ACLU of Texas and nonprofit organizations who argue the act is vital for educational access—students currently face nearly doubled tuition rates without it.
