- ➤ A new Cheech and Chong smoke shop opened in Denton on July 16th at 207 S. Bell Ave.—developed by UNT grad Andrew Brandt, who partnered with Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong under Dreamz Capital Investments. The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.—with plans to expand across Texas as legislative reviews of Senate Bill 3 continue. KERA

- ➤ Today, DCTA announced a vehicle recall that may delay service for GoZone riders in Denton—repairs will start soon to fix the issue. Denton Record-Chronicle
- ➤ Denton City Council approved $254 million in bonds on Tuesday to fund growth and maintenance projects without needing voter approval. The bond package will pay for projects like renovating the municipal court ($1 million) and other city improvements. Denton Record-Chronicle
