Denton skywatchers will enjoy three meteor showers this month—alpha Capricornids peaking overnight from July 29 to 30, Southern delta Aquariids best viewed in the early morning, and the Perseids set to peak from August 12 to 13.
The alpha Capricornids can show bright fireballs and up to five meteors per hour while the nearly full moon may reduce the Perseids display.
