- ➤ A 55-year-old Denton man pleaded guilty on Monday to stalking WNBA star Caitlin Clark and was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison, with orders banning him from contacting the athlete and attending team events (he also will have no internet access during his sentence). CBS Texas

- ➤ North Texas organizations are hosting several events to give out free backpacks, school supplies & health checkups before the new school year starts. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Veterans in North Texas have seen sharp cuts to VA-funded in-home care, forcing an 80-year-old Marine veteran from Denton to lose 37 hours of service—dropping to 13 hours per week and having to move into assisted living. Data showed that the share of veterans receiving over 20 hours dropped from 37% in June 2024 to 11% in June, and the VA introduced a new system to approve care hours correctly. CBS Texas
