H-E-B is planning a second Denton store — named Denton #2 — at University Drive and Bonnie Brae Street and has started the permit process with construction set to begin in spring.

This move follows finalized plans for its first store at Interstate 35W and Robson Ranch Road.

The City of Denton reopened its renovated Scale House on July 30 to improve accuracy in waste pricing at the landfill.
