ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters spent two hours putting out a fire that burned three homes near Little Elm on Sunday — all residents escaped and one person sustained minor injuries. The Dallas Morning News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Denton is asking residents to share input on the FY26 Budget from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30 using an interactive online tool available until September 9—feedback will guide staff and City Council as they plan public hearings on September 9 and budget adoption on September 16. - ➤ Denton’s City Auditor Madison Rorschach is asking residents, business owners, and community groups for input on future audits that will guide the use of public funds. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ State health officials declared the measles outbreak over after no new cases were confirmed for more than 42 days—an outbreak that had sickened 762 people since late January. They will continue to monitor the situation to catch any new cases that might appear. KERA
