- ➤ UNT’s Faculty Senate is set to change as it will add new appointed and elected representatives to meet SB37 that passed on June 20—University Board of Regents amended rules on Aug. 14 to keep the Senate active. Faculty were informed by email on Aug. 27 and the first transitional meeting will be held on Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. in University Union room 332. North Texas Daily
- ➤ The University of North Texas ended its temporary pause on drag shows after a federal appeals court ruled that similar bans likely violate the First Amendment. The system had stopped the shows in March and now reopens its campus for performances as free speech is respected. KERA
