  • North Texas vape shops faced losses and uncertainty after Senate Bill 2024 banned THC-infused vape products on September 1—shop owners removed nearly 40% of their sales items and fear further restrictions while public health advocates said the ban was meant to protect youth.  CBS Texas

  • More than 800 new laws went into effect in Texas on Sept. 1, changing rules for education, water projects and public safety. Gov. Greg Abbott signed 1,155 bills during the legislative session—some, like the cellphone ban and school voucher program, started immediately while others will begin later—affecting many areas of state policy.  CBS Texas

  • Taylor Fresh Foods has recalled its Honey Balsamic Salad Kit because the dressing (Asian Sesame Ginger) contains undeclared sesame and soy that could cause severe allergic reactions.   • More than a dozen Texas college football teams are adding a helmet sticker that shows Texas wrapped in a green ribbon to honor Hill Country flood victims from July 4th, where over 130 people died including 27 children from Camp Mystic.
