The proposed standards, set for discussion this week, could influence teaching for Texas public schools.
On Tuesday, the state education board voted to change high school social studies lessons so that students learn that radical Islam motivated the 9/11 attacks & view early Islam through a controversial lens, with final decisions expected Friday and changes to take effect in the 2030-31 school year.
