  • Two Dallas police officers were arrested after Officer Simpson turned himself in for releasing unauthorized body camera footage—while Officer Rangel turned himself in to the Denton County Sheriff for a family violence assault warrant—and both are on leave pending investigation.  The Dallas Morning News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • In early August, Keller City Council voted to allow its police force to join ICE 287(g) training — a decision that led a Denton resident to propose an ordinance for more transparency in city meetings.
