- ➤ The City of Denton is asking residents to review draft amendments for HOME and HOME-ARP funds and to share feedback from Sept. 1 to Sept. 30 so that housing support programs are adjusted; the plan details changes that will shift about $693K in HOME funds and $502K in HOME-ARP funds toward rental assistance and case management services—aiming to better serve those at risk of homelessness. - ➤ Today, Denton County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of the Ponder Volunteer Fire Station as the first step toward expanding fire and EMS services in unincorporated areas—24/7 staffing will begin this fall and an ambulance will be added to cover the Emergency Response Zone.
