CULTURE NEWS

  • Today Denton begins the second 31 Days of Denton Halloween—an all-month celebration that shows Denton is the Halloween Capital. The event features a new free 5,000-square-foot maze at the Civic Center, updated phone booths and a pop-up cemetery, with over 300 local events planned for fun at every turn.  KERA

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • North Texans may face service delays and travel disruptions if Congress fails to pass funding, affecting federal workers, military families, and programs like SNAP. Local projects, including transit improvements and education funding, might also be stalled – officials warn that key operations such as Social Security and postal services will keep running.  KERA
