  • Southern Denton County voters will choose a new trustee for Lewisville ISD's Place 6 seat starting Oct. 20 — this election comes after Dr. Buddy Bonner resigned for violating the district’s nepotism policy. Michelle Alkhatib and Madison Lopez are competing in the Nov. 4 General Election with early voting open until Oct. 31.  Cross Timbers Gazette

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Argyle is accepting applications for its tree rebate program that lets homeowners buy up to five trees sized from 5 to 15 gallons or two trees sized at 30 gallons until March 1. Homeowners associations may purchase approved trees and must call DIGTESS before planting—funding is limited to $10,000 each for residents and associations on a first come, first served basis.  Cross Timbers Gazette
