Winning The Fight, a nonprofit in Flower Mound, earned a $5,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation for its trauma-focused education program called The Ripple Effect — which helps teens, young adults and parents deal with substance use and mental health challenges.

The nonprofit said the program will work to keep kids from entering the justice system.

Krugerville Farmers Market will host a special holiday celebration featuring a tree lighting, chili, handcrafted items + artificial snowballs to create a festive atmosphere.

Farmer Rodney Schronk of Hill County said his family-run farm has used legal migrant workers from South Africa under the H-2A program for about 10 years to meet labor needs + the process is complex and costly, requiring agents to handle a multi-month application and thousands of dollars in fees.
