- ➤ Residents can donate new, unwrapped toys at various city locations to help children in need during Denton's holiday toy drive with Toys for Tots. Donations will be accepted through Dec. 12. Voice of Denton
- ➤ TWU's SHTEAM Punks will host a free holiday event for children on Dec. 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the second-floor lobby of the Administration Conference Tower at TWU campus, featuring science experiments, crafts, storytelling & more for pre-K and elementary-aged kids. Voice of Denton

- ➤ Argyle teen Lillian Duncan Bicheno is one of the top 10 finalists in BroadwayWorld's Next on Stage national musical theater competition. The online contest features high school and college performers and spotlights emerging talent from across the country. Denton Record-Chronicle

- ➤ Recently, UNT hosted a STEM Field Day for over 100 middle school students at its campus, where they explored robotics demos and a 3D printing lab tour; organizers said a summer 2026 STEM camp may follow (with tuition waivers planned for interested students). Voice of Denton

- ➤ Denton Parks and Recreation invites community input on three naming proposals for local facilities, as residents can attend a meeting on December 15 at 6 p.m. at the Denton Civic Center (321 E. McKinney St) or submit feedback online. Voice of Denton

- ➤ The Denton Animal Support Foundation will host a drive-through pet food pantry and vaccine clinic on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at North Texas Fairgrounds (2217 N Carroll Blvd), offering free vaccinations, microchips and pet food for dogs and cats. Voice of Denton
