Joe Ely, a pioneering rock and country musician known for his work with The Flatlanders and collaborations with Bruce Springsteen, died Monday in Taos, New Mexico from complications of Lewy Body Dementia, Parkinson's and pneumonia; he was 78.
A local holiday display featuring a mannequin known as Cousin Eddie was disrupted when a local Grinch had the figure taken, but a former council member promptly returned it + reinforcing festive cheer in Denton this season.
🏛️ Government
The Denton County Courthouse on the Square (built in 1896) reopened Monday after nearly two years of renovations and now has a festive exhibit on display.
