If you want a way to mark Veterans Day week, Plano Flags of Honor opens Saturday, Nov. 7, at Oak Point Park and runs through Nov. 14. KRLD says the display fills the grounds with 1,111 flags set at exact 10-foot intervals. CBS Texas reported Thursday that the tribute to veterans, service members and first responders was already up.
“We initially had 1,000 flags, but we made it 1,111 for 11/11—Veterans Day.”
