About this event
Baby Care with Infant Safety & CPR
Babies are adorable, but they don't come with an instruction manual. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Frisco offers a variety of parent education classes to help you feel prepared, informed, and confident as you welcome your newest family member. We encourage expectant parents to take advantage of as many classes as possible before their baby's arrival.
Our Baby Care with Infant Safety & CPR class is a comprehensive, two-hour course designed especially for first-time parents, grandparents, and caregivers. You'll gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience to help you confidently care for your newborn during those important first weeks at home.
Topics include: • Newborn appearance and behavior
• Diapering, bathing, swaddling, and soothing techniques
• Feeding basics and infant cues
• Safe sleep recommendations
• Growth and development during the newborn stage
• What to expect during the first few weeks at home
• Infant safety and injury prevention
• Hands-on practice with diapering, holding, and comforting a baby
• Infant CPR instruction
Our experienced educators will answer your questions and provide practical tips to help you feel ready for one of life's greatest adventures. Whether you're welcoming your first baby or simply looking for a refresher, this class is designed to help you feel confident before your little one arrives.
