Learn to Play Granny Basketball at The REC! Ready to try something new, stay active, and have some fun on the court? Join us at The REC of Grapevine this November for a Learn to Play Granny Basketball event and get a first look at one of our newest program offerings! Granny Basketball is a fun, social take on the game designed for women ages 50 and older. Based on women’s basketball rules from the 1920s, the game keeps things moving with a few unique twists, including no running or jumping, limited dribbling, and an emphasis on friendly competition and sportsmanship. Never played basketball before? That’s okay! No previous basketball experience is required. Our Learn to Play events are a chance to: Learn the basics and unique rules of Granny Basketball Try skills and game play in a welcoming environment Enjoy a fun way to stay active Meet other women interested in playing ✨ Learn more about the new Granny Basketball program coming to The REC Whether you played years ago or have never picked up a basketball, come see what Granny Basketball is all about!
