ABOUT MINNIE’S FOOD PANTRY: Minnie’s Food Pantry is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Plano, Texas, that provides healthy meals, educational resources and compassionate service to individuals and families facing food insecurity. Founded in 2008, the organization treats everyone it serves with dignity, respect and its signature red-carpet welcome. Its programs help families build long-term food security through access to nutritious food and financial education. With four locations across three states, Minnie’s Food Pantry has provided more than 15 million healthy meals to families in need.

Founder Cheryl “Action” Jackson established the organization in honor of her late mother, Dr. Minnie Hawthorne-Ewing. Having experienced hunger herself, Jackson has dedicated her work to helping others and raising awareness of food insecurity. Under her leadership, the pantry has grown from a 500-square-foot space into a facility spanning more than 28,000 square feet, with support from thousands of volunteers, community partners and nationally recognized supporters.
