Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County will soon open their first Denton County branch in the old Lewisville fire station (after years of mobile programs) (to provide a permanent space for youth activities).

Heavy rainfall, high heat, and humidity in July created ideal mosquito breeding conditions across North Texas, and experts warn that the infestation could continue until mid-December.

Health officials have already launched spray operations in nearby hotspots—no West Nile virus cases have been reported in Denton yet.
